Non-riding Group Classes
Basic Equine Care | All Semesters
Learn how to brush, braid, pick hooves, put sheets on properly, apply a tail boot/wrap, apply polos/boots, and how to halter a horse. This class can be taken multiple times until skills are mastered.
Leading a Horse & Basic Showmanship | All Semesters
Prerequisites: Basic Equine Care
This class will teach you how to halter a horse, proper care of halters and equipment, catching a horse, leading a horse with softness and safety, and basic showmanship skills that will test your leading skills.
Groundwork & Lunging | All Semesters
Prerequisites: Leading a Horse & Basic Showmanship
Learn horse psychology through groundwork, anxiety coping skills, and lunging a horse to build confidence and strength. Great class for students wanting to increase their groundwork skills, work with their own difficult horse, or learn how to rehabilitate a horse that needs added muscle. Also great for those wanting to learn how to build confidence in a horse that is spooky, buddy-sour, or easily distracted. Whether you've never lunged a horse or whether you've just hit a snag in your own training, this is a great class for all levels of horse lovers.

Liberty | All Semesters
Prerequisites: Groundwork & Lunging
Liberty is the art of communicating with a horse without a halter or bridle. In this class, students will learn the cues and body language needed for liberty on the ground, as well as other skills and tricks that can be taught at liberty or in preparation for liberty work. Skills learned will include sending away, drawing a horse in, changing directions, join-up in the round-pen, stopping the horse, backing the horse, sidepassing towards and away, teaching the horse to "pick-up" at the mounting block, teaching a horse to target, and more.
Show Prep | Spring & Summer Semesters Only
Learn how to prep a horse for showing. This class will included learning how to bathe a horse, band the mane, paint hooves, clip hair, stall prep, blanketing the horse to keep them clean, and what to pack to be successful at the show. Great for kids or adults wanting to learn how to show or that know how to show but want to present their horses more professionally. Also great for students who want to be around horses and learn about caring for their hygiene.
Braiding, Banding & Plaiting | All Semesters
Great class for those who love mane and tail braiding and want to practice and perfect their skills. Whether you want to improve for show season or offer your grooming services professionally, this is a great way to learn different techniques and practice.
